Manny Fabregas

Manny was one of the stylish men that I spotted at the  Alameda Point Antiques Faire. If you look closely, you might notice a theme in Manny’s wardrobe. I picked up on it slightly when I noticed his Levi’s and then when I looked up the maker of his knapsack, Duluth Pack, it became even more apparent. Manny looks for brands that are “Made in the USA”. Talk about a great way to support our country. I like it…subtle yet really meaningful. Manny here, proves that you can definitely score some style points with American-made products.

I love how Manny incorporates different fabrics that all have a definite place in menswear history. The tweed cap, the Levi’s and the canvas backpack reference fashion history when clothing was built to last. Yet, his outfit doesn’t look old-fashioned or outdated. The lines of his jacket, the fit of his jeans and the accessories all lend themselves to modernizing the look.

I especially dig Manny’s choice in jewelry. Not many men know how to incorporate jewelry into their look, some are even afraid of it. But Manny here, does a great job of accessorizing his solid colored outfit. When your outfit consists of basics in neutral colors, don’t be afraid to dress it up a bit with some eye-catching jewelry. This ring looks great and it subtly ties in with Manny’s American theme. Not only that, but every time I see a unique piece of jewelry, I know that there’s always a great story about where the owner got it. Jewelry is that one accessory that was either passed down as a family heirloom,  was a souvenir from a interesting trip or a gift from someone special. Whatever it is, it adds that unique touch that compliments an outfit. Don’t be afraid of it.
