Eduardo Escobedo
Eduardo was easy to spot with that bowtie and super sharp outfit. He’s another Ferry Building find which makes us think that the Ferry Building is a great scouting spot. (Note to well-dressed men: Please frequent the Embarcadero and Ferry building so that we can spot you.) Eduardo is an East Bay resident who was in San Francisco for a business meeting, so luckily we were at the right place at the right time.
Once I started photographing Eduardo (aka Eddie), I noticed his bracelets and I was interested in the story behind them. He told me that the bracelets were from Mexico but two of them were acquired during a summer trip throughout Europe in which he met some people and they swapped bracelets with each other for memory’s sake.
He describes his day-to-day style as a fusion of modern and vintage style. Besides retailers such as Gap, H&M and Calvin Klein, Eddie tells me, “I usually buy accessories in Mexico City when I do go, given a few collared shirts here and there as well. I do try to purchase a few things when I go down south, they have great mercados.” Well that’s enough convincing for me! I can only imagine how many great leather goods and jewelry I’d find there. And I know that I’d have a field day picking out men’s accessories such as belts, bags and jewelry. Hmm . . . anyone know of a man who’d like to hire someone to travel around the world to stock their closets with amazing stuff? Let them know about me. Yo hablo español.
